About Us
So who developed AskRubberman.com?
The Santa Cruz County Health Services Agency developed AskRubberman with
the help of many young men (and young women) across the county. Many thanks
to the California Telehealth and Telemedicine Center who gave us funds
to develop this site. And many thanks to all the students who came up
with the name and look for the site and much more!
We made this website
so you and other young men can have a place to learn about sexual health
issues and community resources. Why young men? In the past, most sexual
health services were targeted at women. There has been a movement statewide
to make sure men are not left out! The Santa Cruz Health Services Agency
receives money from the state to conduct the Healthy
Teens Program, a program for males. This website builds on the successes
of our Healthy Teens Program. We will be promoting this website to youth
involved in the Healthy Teens Program as well as other youth throughout
the county.
